كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ

“You are the best Ummah raised for humanity.”Āl ʿImrān 3:110

The Ummah doesn't need more graduates.
It needs builders.

11–12 July 2026·Sunway University

This story is about you

You've been a student for sixteen years.

You're good at sitting silent.

Good at reading what you're told to read.

Good at doing assignments and handing them in.

Bad at leading.

Bad at making impact in the world.

You were told the plan is simple. Finish the degree. Update the CV. Apply to companies. Hope someone picks you.

Spend your best years making someone else's vision happen.

They call this success.

The apps you live inside every single day.

The movies you grew up on. The video games that knew you better than your parents did.

The reels shaping how you see the world.

All of it built by people who didn't wait to be picked.

So why are you waiting?

The Ummah doesn't need more graduates.
It needs sincere builders.

What happens

For two full days.
150 of us.
Two paths. One mission.

You walk in a student, you walk out a builder.

No talks. No theory. No slides. Real tools. Real teams. Real work shipped to the world with your name on it.

Path 01For builders

Build Track

Build a working digital product that solves a real problem the Ummah is facing right now. It must actually work. No mockups. No theory. Live demo only: share a deployed link or your code so we can try it.

Apps. Websites. AI tools. Automations. Anything that serves people.

Don't know how to code? Bring your idea and pitch it. If it's strong, others will join you to build it. We also run workshops to help you develop your skills.

Solo or teams up to 5

Path 02For storytellers

Storytelling Track

Show a real problem in the Ummah, make people feel its weight, then show what changes when it's solved.

Make it as a video. Use AI tools, traditional filming, or both. CapCut, Runway, Pika, Kling, ElevenLabs, your phone, your camera. Whatever moves hearts.

Solo or teams up to 5

What you walk away with

How submissions work

What you post. Where. When.

After you finish your build (or your video), here's exactly what happens.

Step 1 · Post on Instagram before Sunday 10:00 AM

Post your work to any Instagram account: your main, a new one, or a private team account. Doesn't matter. You don't need to show your face. You don't even need to use your name. Just post, and tag @confidentmuslim and @SSS_Sunway as collaborators. Your Reel will appear on all pages at once.

Show the problem first. Then show the product.

Build Track: Video quality, lighting, editing, none of it matters here. Open with the problem the Ummah is facing, then show how what you built solves it. Then give us a way to try it ourselves: a link to the deployed app, or your code (GitHub or similar).

Storytelling Track: The video itself is the work. Quality, craft, emotion, all of it matters. Make us feel the world if no one solves this, and what it could look like if someone does.

Stage 1 · We watch every single Reel

After the deadline, we watch every team's submission. From all of them, we pick the top 5 from the Build Track and the top 5 from the Storytelling Track. If your team is selected, you'll be notified at 1:00 PM.

Stage 2 · You take the stage

At 2:00 PM, your team presents live in front of all participants. Everyone gets a chance to vote for their best team.

If you wait until you're ready, you never will be.

Brothers and sisters in separate teams.

What you leave with
You walk in a student.
You walk out a builder.
Everything else follows from that.

وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا ۝ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ

“Whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make for him a way out, and will provide for him from where he does not expect.”At-Talaq 65:3

Stop talking.
Start building.
